Terms and Conditions of Vetrica Health Plans.

These Terms and Conditions are valid for Vetrica Health Plans taken out on or after 1 February 2024. Terms for plans taken out at earlier dates are available here.

Flea Free Guarantee

For dogs, cats, kittens and puppies, after 3 months of correct treatment, we guarantee that your pet will not have fleas or we fix it free. To qualify for this guarantee, all animals in the household (including occasional visitors) must be treated with products purchased directly from us, and you must follow the instructions on their use. Animals that enrol onto the plan that are noted to have fleas may require additional treatments that are not included in the cost of the Plan.

This guarantee only covers the cost of any additional measures to rid your pet of fleas, and not the treatment of any other conditions that may be secondary to the presence of fleas.

General conditions

Your pet is only covered under the Plan if you pay the fee. In the event of any scheduled payment remaining outstanding for more than 28 days, the full remaining balance will become due immediately, and any additional benefits normally available under the plan will cease. An administration charge of £12.00 will also be payable.

If your pet is not treated for fleas or worms as instructed by us, additional fees will be charged for any extra treatments that may be required. We will send you a reminder by text message when the health checks and vaccinations are due, but cannot be held responsible if these reminders are lost due to technological failures.

We will not refund any money in respect of preventative treatments or vaccinations that your pet is entitled to under the Plan, but which you have not taken, deliberately or otherwise, within 12 months of enrolling on the Plan.

The Plan will cease in the event of the death of your pet. Please contact us as soon as is convenient so that we can arrange to stop any future reminders being sent.

In the event of your pet’s death before you have been supplied with what the Plan covers (as defined below), we will ask you to pay 60% of the full cost of the Plan. This is to cover the cost of goods and services already supplied. In the event that there has been an overpayment, the balance will be refunded to you on request. In the event of an underpayment, we will ask you to continue monthly payments until the balance has been paid.
