At Vetrica we are continuing to support the government’s requirement for social distancing while balancing this with the need to support animal welfare.

Whilst we will continue to assess matters on a case-by-case basis, from Monday 4th May, we will be resuming most of our normal services. However, this is still not business as normal. Social distancing has to continue, which for us means:

  • Fewer total appointments available each day
  • No face-to-face consultations
  • The Kelty surgery will remain closed until at least 25 May 2020
  • We are still not accepting new clients or offering 2nd opinions for on-going cases

At our Rosyth practice, appointments will be available Monday – Friday 9am until 6.45pm and Saturday’s from 9am – 11.30am.

In order to maintain our safety and yours, please do not arrive at the clinic more than 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment and please stay clear of the surgery door. This is the only entrance and exit to the surgery so please keep this clear. Similarly if you are late for your appointment we may not be able to see you. We appreciate that it is a complicated situation but our aim is to keep everyone safe.

If you have any concerns for your animals, please do not attend the surgery without an appointment, as we are unable to accommodate unscheduled appointments. Instead please email the surgery at info@vetrica.com, via our mobile app (more information on that below), or for more urgent cases over the phone on 01383 418558 and our team will provide the best advice possible or schedule an appointment for you to visit. Please do not contact us to discuss via our social media pages. This also applies to any medication (unless this has been agreed to in advance). We are continuing to deliver medication and food free of charge to the KY11, KY12 and KY4 postcodes on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.

We continue to operate with skeleton staffing levels, with some of us working from home. This means it may take longer than normal for us to answer the phone, and reception staff may need to schedule a call back if they are not immediately able to help. We may also not always be able to accommodate your preferred appointment time.

We have had a mobile app in development for some time. It is still in the early stages, however we have made the decision to release it now to help improve communication. It is available for Android and Apple devices on Google Play and Apple App Store if you search for ‘Vetrica’.

We are doing our best at this extremely difficult time to ensure everyone’s safety while safeguarding animal welfare. It is a  stressful time for us all, but we are looking forward to getting back to seeing you in person, and being able to discuss your pet’s ongoing care very soon.
